Oummal Mutual Fund

The Oummal Mutual Fund has successfully achieved its objective of addressing the healthcare needs of small business owners, self-employed workers, and their families, effectively bridging the social gap caused by the lack of comprehensive health coverage.

The provided coverage is robust, encompassing 100% coverage for hospitalization fees and a noteworthy 50% immediate discount on external examinations, laboratory tests, and emergency room photos. This supplementary hospitalization program complements the existing coverage offered by the Ministry of Public Health, ensuring a comprehensive safety net for the beneficiaries.

The coverage extended to a substantial 15 million Lebanese pounds annually, providing a significant financial buffer for medical expenses. The network includes prominent healthcare institutions, such as Centre Hospitalier du Nord CHN and Saydet Zgharta Hospital in Zgharta District, as well as Al-Khair Hospital in the Minieh-Dennieh District.

The subscription model is structured to accommodate various family sizes, with monthly fees set at 35,000 Lebanese pounds for an individual, 55,000 Lebanese pounds for a family of two, 70,000 Lebanese pounds for a family of three to four, and 90,000 Lebanese pounds for a family of five or more (with children not exceeding 24 years of age). Subscriptions are conveniently paid in four installments, spaced every three months, through transactions into Oummal’s designated bank account at the Lebanese Credit Bank or at its offices. To qualify for membership, individuals must not already be benefiting from health coverage provided by any public or private insurance agency.

The enrollment process entails submitting a filled membership application along with the required documents, including a copy of the ID card or an individual registration document for single individuals and copies of ID cards or a family registration document for married individuals.

The impact of the Oummal Mutual Fund is evident in its enrollment figures, with a total of 240 individuals benefiting from the program, representing more than 45 families. This robust enrollment underscores the program’s success in meeting the healthcare needs of the targeted population, providing financial security and access to quality healthcare services.
