Oummal Capacity Building Program

The vocational training projects have been proposed to address the challenges of youth unemployment and skill gaps in the job market.

The first type of projects focuses on hospital and administrative positions, tailoring training courses for nurse assistants, cook assistants, pharmacist assistants, and administrative assistants.

The second type of projects target construction and craftsmanship, identifying a lack of skilled workers in ironworking, concrete work, plumbing, and gypsum work.

Both types of projects share a common approach of providing vocational training to unemployed youth, emphasizing rapid entry into the job market and subsequent skill reinforcement for career progression.

The training methodologies include a balanced mix of theory and practical application, engaging certified professionals and practitioners with extensive experience.

The impact on job placement is expected through practicum placements fostering relationships with professional organizations, with project managers facilitating placements and monitoring trainees, post-completion.

The outreach strategies involve collaborations with local entities, engagement through media channels, and targeting specific demographics in the region.

These projects aim to not only equip the youth with essential skills but also bridge the gap between job seekers and employers in the T5 region.

With a total of over 250 trainees enrolled across all initiatives, including 76 in the healthcare and administrative sectors and 110 in construction and craftsmanship, the impact on youth unemployment has been significant. Impressively, 114 trainees have successfully secured employment, marking a substantial 45% job placement rate.
