The Maktoum AID mobile and web application, developed under the Statelessness Program, is a comprehensive platform designed to support stateless individuals and organizations working on statelessness. Developed by E0 company, the app is nearing its first release by the end of November, with plans to engage 8 to 10 organizations in testing and collaboration.
The Maktoum AID app aims to facilitate the registration of stateless individuals, foster connections, collect data, and raise awareness. It supports three types of users: Guests, organizations/activists, and stateless individuals. Guests can explore information on statelessness by country, while organizations can create profiles, share projects, and conduct surveys or polls. Stateless individuals can register, access resources, receive notifications, and communicate with organizations through a secure platform.
1. Register Stateless Individuals: Providing an accessible registration process, both through self-registration and door-to-door efforts.
2. Foster Connections: Creating a network for sharing experiences, stories, and mutual support among stateless individuals and organizations.
3. Data Collection: Gathering accurate and comprehensive data to better understand and address the needs of stateless populations.
4. Raise Awareness: Offering a library of resources and providing tools for legal consultation and communication with organizations.
- Guest Corner: Information about statelessness worldwide, with options to explore by country.
- Organizations and Activists: A web-based platform where organizations can create profiles, post surveys, and share resources. Customizable features like dashboards and reports can be developed.
- Stateless Profile: Stateless users can create profiles, access legal support, receive notifications, read articles, and share stories in a community hub.
The platform's ticketing system enables stateless individuals to send messages to organizations, streamlining communication and support.
The app's development focused on user experience, security, and privacy. The UI/UX design ensures ease of use for all users, while robust data security measures, including encryption, protect sensitive information. A detailed database architecture supports efficient data management, ensuring scalability and reliability.
1. Accessibility: The app eliminates barriers to registration by offering both self-registration and door-to-door options.
2. Empowerment: Stateless individuals are empowered through the app's community features, fostering a sense of belonging and advocacy.
3. Data Collection: The platform collects precise data, facilitating targeted support and informed decision-making.
4. Needs Assessment and Surveys: The app allows organizations to conduct surveys and assess the needs of stateless individuals directly, leading to more tailored interventions.
5. Longitudinal Tracking: The app enables the tracking of individuals' progress over time, ensuring continuous support.
The project seeks collaboration with organizations involved in statelessness to help test and develop the app further. This partnership offers opportunities for networking, advocacy, and funding while improving the app's functionality and impact.
This program aims to be a central tool for advocacy, data analysis, and support, providing a much-needed solution for the stateless population in Lebanon and beyond.
