Oummal, successfully implemented the "Vocational training and Improved Employability" project aimed at training unemployed youth in vocational skills to enhance their chances of entering the job market. The project focused on four main vocational tracks: Nurse Assistant, Cook Assistant, Pharmacist Assistant, and Administrative Assistant.

  1. A total of 65 trainees successfully completed the three-month vocational training.
  2. Each trainee received 192 hours of theoretical and practical training in their respective fields.
  3. Theoretical sessions were supplemented with practical internships at hospitals, pharmacies, restaurants, and administrative offices.

  1. 30 trainees secured immediate employment upon completing the program:
    • 10 Nurse Assistants placed in hospitals and medical centers.
    • 7 Cook Assistants employed in restaurants and catering businesses.
    • 7 Pharmacist Assistants recruited by local pharmacies.
    • 6 Administrative Assistants found jobs in offices and medical facilities.
  2. Oummal’s partnership with local businesses and organizations played a key role in facilitating job placements.

Providing Healthcare Coverage for Small Business Owners & Self-Employed Workers

The Oummal Mutual Fund has successfully achieved its objective of addressing the healthcare needs of small business owners, self-employed workers, and their families, effectively bridging the social gap caused by the lack of comprehensive health coverage.

The provided coverage is robust, encompassing 100% coverage for hospitalization fees and a noteworthy 50% immediate discount on external examinations, laboratory tests, and emergency room photos. This supplementary hospitalization program complements the existing coverage offered by the Ministry of Public Health, ensuring a comprehensive safety net for the beneficiaries.

The coverage extended to a substantial 15 million Lebanese pounds annually, providing a significant financial buffer for medical expenses. The network includes prominent healthcare institutions, such as:

  • Centre Hospitalier du Nord (CHN)
  • Saydet Zgharta Hospital in Zgharta District
  • Al-Khair Hospital in the Minieh-Dennieh District

Subscription Model & Eligibility

The subscription model is structured to accommodate various family sizes, with monthly fees set as follows:

  • 35,000 Lebanese pounds for an individual
  • 55,000 Lebanese pounds for a family of two
  • 70,000 Lebanese pounds for a family of three to four
  • 90,000 Lebanese pounds for a family of five or more

(Children must not exceed 24 years of age to be included in the family plan.)

Subscriptions are conveniently paid in four installments, spaced every three months, through transactions into Oummal's designated bank account at the Lebanese Credit Bank or at its offices.

Eligibility: To qualify for membership, individuals must not already be benefiting from health coverage provided by any public or private insurance agency.

To join the Oummal Mutual Fund, applicants must submit a filled membership application along with the following required documents:

  • For single individuals: A copy of the ID card or an individual registration document.
  • For married individuals: Copies of ID cards or a family registration document.
